What you should wear

You should wear a collared shirt, long trousers and shoes. Singlets, bermuda shorts, shorts, slippers or sandals are not allowed as you will be taking your oath of allegiance and it is a solemn ceremony. The same dress code applies to your parents and friends as well.

If you fall sick on enlistment day

You should consult a doctor immediately and contact us at 1800-367-6767 (NS Contact Centre) thereafter. You will need to email your Medical Certificate to MINDEF at contact@ns.gov.sg by 12pm on the same day. You are required to provide the reason for your medical leave and may be required to report to the Medical Classification Centre for a medical review.
